Mount Rogers End of Year Party & Bush Dance

Dust off your dancing shoes and join us for a fun evening with the Mount Rogers school community!

We're celebrating the end of the school year with the fantastic Billy Tea Bush Band, bringing live music, traditional bush dances and plenty of opportunities for the whole family to join in.

Throughout Thursday and Friday, the band will be teaching bush dances to our students. Then, on Friday evening, it's the families' turn! The band will perform and teach the dances so everyone can get involved, whether you're an experienced bush dancer or trying it for the first time.

Event schedule

• 5:30–6:30 pm: Arrive, settle in and enjoy a BYO or pre-ordered picnic dinner.

• 6:30–7:30 pm: Live music and participatory bush dancing with the Billy Tea Bush Band.

• 7:30–8:00 pm: Dessert and a chance to wrap up the evening together.

Bring a picnic or pre-order dinner

Bring your own picnic dinner, or pre-order a Ploughman's-Style Picnic Dinner for $10 per person through the P&C.

Each dinner comes in a handy takeaway bag and includes a bread roll, hummus and crackers, cheese, butter, crisps and a piece of fruit. All meals are vegetarian, with a gluten-free option available on request.

Important: Picnic dinners must be ordered by Tuesday 1 December. Meals will be available for collection from 5:30 pm at the basketball court. No meals will be available to purchase on the night.

No BYO alcohol, please.

A few things to know

• This is a family event, and parents and carers are responsible for supervising their children throughout the evening.

• Bring a picnic dinner if you aren't pre-ordering one.

• This is an alcohol-free event.

• In the event of light rain, we’ll gather together under the basketball court shelter. In the event of heavy rain or storm activity, the event will be cancelled. A decision will be made during the day of, and families will be notified by email from the school and via the P&C’s social media channels.
